ABOUT

a turning point in architectural louvers

Welcome to a renaissance in architectural beauty and functionality. At Aire Renaissance, we open new vistas in design and function with louvers that seamlessly integrate with your building’s façade and deliver the best performance. As a national distributor drawing on over three decades of collaboration with designers, façade consultants, mechanical and acoustical engineers, contractors, and building owners, we have honed our solutions to cater to the diverse needs and preferences of the entire construction team. The results are louvers that go beyond beauty to optimize the functionality of new construction and renovations.

AESTHETICS

We understand that generally, you don’t want louvers on your building. Rather than designing louvers and hoping they work with your aesthetics, our architectural louvers have been engineered based on our client’s feedback for over 30 years. This means that right from the start, we are anticipating the design or we have options that will blend into your façade without jeopardizing the performance.

FUNCTIONALITY

First and foremost, our louver needs to meet your project requirements. However don’t fall into the trap of “if it was used on Project A then it should would work on Project B”. Every project is completely different and we are here to quickly give you multiple options to reduce the square footage or provide other ways to work within the mechanical engineers requirements.

EXPERTISE

Every designer is different with their own vision and aesthetics. More than having an unrivaled depth of technical knowledge, at Aire Renaissance we understand real life consulting and listen intently to our customers and their challenges. Our time spent in Design Development enables us to discuss design options while mitigating risks from costly performance oversights and RFI’s.

MEET THE TEAM

  • Bob Cangemi is the founding principal of Renaissance Building Products, and with over 30 years of experience, is a recognized expert on the design and consultancy of complex architectural louvers.

Bob and his wife Lorraine Cangemi have now formed Aire Renaissance by OSA, the US distributor of OSA, LLC; the largest and most respected louver manufacturer in the Middle East.  “Our long-term relationship with customers in NY has given us the confidence to share our experiences with the rest of the country. Having the resources of OSA, backed with the highest performing AMCA rated louvers in the world, this partnership will offer many more design options for our clients.”

Collaborating with many of the world’s foremost architects and contractors, Bob has contributed to his extensive success by learning from the entire construction team on projects such as WTC-Tower One, WTC-Tower Four, Hudson Yards, 270 Park Avenue, DSNY-125, JFK Airport, LaGuardia Airport and  Mumbai Airport.

  • Lorraine Cangemi has been the backbone of customer relations and smiles for over 20 years at Renaissance Building Products. Now she is taking the additional role of Chief Operating Officer of Aire Renaissance by OSA, led by instinctual commitment to our clients by assisting our staff with quality communications and positivity.

She aspires to inspire the team to deliver ‘the best of the best’ of whatever is presented to them.  Difficult issues that arise are viewed as challenges and every measure is explored to do better. “Dedication and commitment to our customers is really what we are all about. The most rewarding part of my role is getting to know our customers on a personal level. This removes potential barriers and allows us to solve issues as a trusted team.”

  • Edmond (Ed) Rizk is the Executive Director of OSA Products, with thirty years of experience in the construction materials industry.

Ed is a professional designer of engineered façade products such as grilles, sunshades and performance louvers certified by international associations such as AMCA and BSRIA. Ed serves as the Vice President of AMCA-Board of Directors. In his past, he has been chair for AMCA’s Sand Louver Committee and contributed to the development of a new test standard for sand filtration.

In addition to his contribution to the association and the industry standards, Ed provides design and specifications assistance to the most renown architectural practices and MEP firms looking for custom made solutions for the most complex projects. His passion and unwavering commitment to product development and designer assistance is translated in his daily routine and constant presence to provide guidance to those who ask for it, which includes his working team.

  • “Whether looking for a suitable product during design phases, questions regarding test standards, or looking for an alternative, more cost effective product with an improved lead time, Bob has always been responsive, reliable, and a pleasure to work with.”

    - Benjamin Reich, Senior Associate

  • “AS A HIGH-END CONSTRUCTION MANAGER IN NEW YORK CITY, BOB AND HIS STAFF WERE ESSENTIAL PARTS OF OUR BUILDING TEAM. THEIR 25 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WERE CLEAR WHEN THEY WORKED WITH OUR MECHANICAL ENGINEER TO COORDINATE AND ENGINEER STRINGENT LOUVER DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS.”

    - Michael Algert, Project Manager, CM & Associates

  • “We value not only Bob’s professional and technical expertise, but also his uncommon approach to ensuring that our design intent is maintained throughout from product and system selection, documentation, procurement, and through installation.”

    - Rowan O. Georges, Senior Associate Principal, SOM

  • “As a specification consultant, I’ve worked with Bob for over 20 years to help solve client’s design and performance demands. His team looks at every project individually and their recommendations are not a one size fits all approach.”
